RISTAP offers its members the ability to discuss current sales and use tax audit trends, legislation, and other sales and use tax related issues affecting the restaurant / prepared food industry. RISTAP also tracks Food and Beverage and other, non-standard tax rates - all of which are made available to our members.

With over 200 members from 90+ companies, we have a wealth of experience and knowledge within our organization. Most major Full Service and QSR restaurant chains are members as well as major hotel chains, convenience stores, theatres and food distributors. RISTAP membership provides you access to a number of experts from around the food and beverage marketplace.
Our annual conference is open to members only. The conference is typically held in late April or May (after the filing deadline, of course!) About 100 members attend the conference. The conference is usually hosted by a member company. The conference allows for open discussions in a confidential forum, and on the “hot topics” related to sales and use tax in the food service industry. Our experts provide real world insight and candid discussions. Topic Discussion Leaders are almost exclusively volunteers from our member companies.
